Kids 4 Christ is committed to supporting and encouraging families as they grow stronger in their faith together.  Based on God's Word in Deuteronomy 6, we believe that a child's faith is built in the home by the family.

Kids 4 Christ focuses on a REAL approach to teaching with a small group focus.  Children are placed in a mixed grade small groups with student leaders.  Kids 4 Christ uses Gospel Light Kids Time curriculum.

Kids 4 Christ are dismissed for class after worship with their families.  Children may be picked up in the Reception  Room following service.

Kids
4 Christ go to class the months of January, March, May, September and November. Children stay in service the remaining months with their families.

This Sunday: May 20, 2012

Lesson Topic: Choose to tell others about Jesus

Read: John 1:35-49...Andrew Tells the Good News

Scripture: Romans 1:16
"I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes."

Life Focus: I can tell others about Jesus and be ready to share the Good News of His love.

Last weeks Memory Verse: Psalms 92:4
"You make me glad by your deeds, O Lord; I sing for joy at the works of your hands."

Helpful Hints so your child can get the most out of family service:

*Share with your children what going to church service means to you.  Invite your children to play a game of follow the leader...with you being the leader.  They will learn from your example.  Have some fun with this...God created fun!!

*Have your children bring their Bible.  They can find scripture and follow along in service.  Invite them to listen...God's Word is for them too.

*Have your children bring a special notebook so that they can take notes (3rd-5th) or draw pictures (k-2nd).  Don't forget the pencil or crayons.  Use this tool as a way to discuss the teaching later on.

*Pick up the Children's Bulletin in the front lobby.  You will find the bulletin follows the teaching of that Sunday.

*Worship and Pray with your children.  Children love to sing...and THEY CAN PRAY!!!  Lead by example and watch your children follow.

*Celebrate with your children after worship service by having a family lunch, ice cream or movies.  They will appreciate the family time and it will open the door for you to discuss the teaching from that Sunday.

*RELAX!!!  Children are children...not adults.  They are going to squirm, make noises and sigh.  IT'S OKAY!  They are learning...and you are training up your children in the way that they will go.

Family Service Months

Kids 4 Christ will be in service with their families the months of February, April, June, July, August, October and December 2012.  Children's Bulletins are available at the Welcome Desk located in the front lobby.
